Elevate Your RPS Distinction Application with a One2One Review

Are you an RPS Member considering applying for a Distinction? The One2One Review Service is a unique opportunity to receive expert, personalized advice from an experienced and friendly RPS panel member—all from the comfort of your home.

We strongly encourage scheduling a One2One session at the earliest stage of your project. Our advisors can provide valuable insights, helping you refine your goals and clarify your vision. This proactive approach ensures you receive meaningful guidance for your submission. This is especially relevant to the Associate & Fellowship.

Please note that booking a One2One session when your project is nearly complete or fully developed can limit the advisor's ability to offer comprehensive support. Engaging early allows us to better assist you throughout your creative journey.

Please note: This is a temporary booking process due to an ongoing technical issue with our previous system. We are actively working on implementing a new and improved booking system to enhance your experience. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

How it works: 

Step 1: Payment

  1. Send a payment of £40 via PayPal (link below). 
  2. In the payment note, include:
    • Your full name & membership number
    • A brief explanation of what the payment is for i.e. your desired distinction level and (if applicable) genre.

Step 2: Email us 

After completing your payment, send an email to one2one@rps.org with the subject line "One2One Session Booking."

In your email, provide the following details:

  1. Level: Indicate whether the session is for Licentiate, Associate, or Fellowship.
  2. Genre: (For Associate or Fellowship only) Specify the Genre you are planning to submit to.
  3. Submission Format: (For Associate or Fellowship only) Indicate whether your final submission will be in the form of prints, digital images, or a book.
  4. Previous One2One Sessions: Let us know if you’ve had a One2One session before. If so, please provide:
    • The date of the previous session.
    • The name of the advisor (if available).
  5. Previous Assessment:
    • Have you been assessed before? If so, please attach copies of the following:
      • Feedback from your previous assessment.
      • Presentation Layout (Associate & Fellowship only).
      • Statement of Intent (Associate & Fellowship only).
  6. Upcoming Assessments: Do you have an assessment already booked? If so, please provide the date of the assessment.

Step 3: Booking Confirmation

Once we have received both your payment and email, a member of our team will:

  1. Process your booking.
  2. Assign an appropriate advisor to your session.

The advisor will contact you via email to arrange your One2One session.

Please note that the lead time from allocating an advisor to scheduling your one2one session may be up to six weeks, depending on the advisor's availability.
All RPS panel members/Advisors are un-paid volunteers, and we must respect their privacy. Once your one2one has concluded you must not contact panel members directly under any circumstances. This also helps protect your submission from any suggestion of undue influence. Any correspondence must be sent directly to the Distinctions department (one2one@rps.org) who will contact the panel member on your behalf. Failing to comply could result in your one2one being withdrawn or your submission being reviewed.

On occasion, a second panel member may be in attendance during your one2one and the meeting may also be recorded. This can be for, but not limited to, training purposes. Any recordings made will be kept for internal use only and deleted when appropriate.
